The once powerful Bank of Uganda senior official, Justine Bagyenda has yet again been hung out to dry by former workers of the central bank. The former central bank executive director in charge of supervision, Bagyenda who has consistently featured as a key figure in the sale and closure of seven commercial banks, has now been accused of usurping the powers of the legal department in her alleged ploy to sell off Crane bank.
The former Bank of Uganda (BoU) executive director in-charge supervision, Justine Bagyenda, has admitted that documents were ferried out of the central bank's premises by her aides. Appearing before the parliamentary committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (Cosase) on Wednesday, Bagyenda was tasked to explain what was contained in the bags and boxes that were carried out of the central bank by her aides.
